Job Description

O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable construction company to find their next Project Engineer. This position is based in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in construction project management. This individual will support the Project Manager by coordinating project documentation, subcontractors, schedules, and communication to help ensure projects stay on track from start to finish.
Project Engineer Compensation:
$65,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience Vision, dental, and medical insurance offered through O2 Company perks!
Project Engineer Qualifications:
2+ years of construction or related industry experience Experience with RFIs, submittals, subcontract administration, or document control preferred Familiarity with commercial, multifamily, modular, or design-build construction is a plus Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred Knowledge of construction contracts, project documentation, and pay applications Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management software Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to work on active construction sites and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on project requirements and material deliveries Assist with subcontract administration, buyouts, and compliance documentation Process subcontractor pay applications and support project cost tracking Maintain organized project files, meeting minutes, contracts, and change orders Support Site Supervisors with scheduling, site coordination, and project documentation Assist with punch lists, warranties, close-out packages, and project turnover Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and within budget Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this position.
