Sacramento, CA (On-site) Our client is a well-established civil engineering firm in Northern California seeking a Civil Engineer for its Sacramento office. This role is ideal for someone with strong land development and/or public infrastructure design experience who wants to work on a variety of private and public projects. Role Overview Work under the guidance of senior engineers on residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects, as well as public infrastructure (sanitary sewer, water, storm drainage, and water resources). Perform civil design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including site layout, grading and earthwork, utility design, and preparation of construction documents. Prepare hydrology and hydraulics calculations and support stormwater and flood control modeling efforts as needed. Coordinate with public agencies, clients, and other consultants, and help supervise and mentor junior/assistant-level staff. Qualifications B.S. in Civil Engineering or closely related field from an ABET-accredited university (required). 4+ years of land development and/or public infrastructure design experience in California. Professional Civil Engineer license in California preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-Storm, WaterCAD, MS Word/Excel/Project is a plus. Strong communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively within a project team. Some project management exposure (client/agency coordination, schedules, proposal support, compiling submittals) is preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
