Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the technical and coordination needs of our Structural Steel Fabrication projects. In this role, you will manage project documentation, coordinate shop drawings and RFI's, support procurement and schedule alignment, this individual will partner with the Fabrication Dept. and provide project leadership to deliver steel that is accurate, presentable and ensuring on time delivery. Handling RFI's, shop drawings, reviewing contract documents and maintaining drawing/submittal logs through fabrication and delivery. Responsibilities Draft, track and close RFI's, prepare submittal packages, maintain shop drawings and transmittal logs. Coordinate detailers, internal reviewers, and external stakeholders to keep approvals moving and minimize reworks Review plans/specs and identify scope and specification drivers, flag constructability risks early Coordinate release-for-fabrication priorities with the shop, align procurement and sequencing, monitor fabrication/shipping milestones Track quantities, support cost awareness, and assist PM's assemble change order documentation when scope shifts Attend select jobsite meetings, support field measurement/issue resolution and communicate schedule/technical issues with GC's and design teams Qualifications Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Civil/Structural/Mechanical) or equivalent experience, preferred Experience in structural steel project coordination or closely related fabrication/erection environment experience, preferred Familiarity with project platforms and steel toolchains: Procore, Scheduling Tools, Tekla/SDS/2, Tekla EPM/PowerFab, Bluebeam, preferred Ability to read and understand design drawings and shop fabrication drawings, strong document-control habits, required Proficiency in Excel and core office tools, comfortable managing logs, registers and deliverable tracking, required

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
