We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning and execution of conveyor and material handling system construction projects. This role is primarily office‑based, with periodic travel to active job sites. This position offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, supporting estimating, scheduling, coordination with engineering and fabrication teams, and on‑site execution. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and customers while contributing to projects that support critical infrastructure across multiple industries. The company provides full‑service mechanical and electrical solutions, including design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, maintenance, decommissioning, and system modernization. Lead the full project lifecycle for conveyor system construction projects, from pre‑bid planning and estimating through execution, change management, invoicing, and closeout Support sales and business development by maintaining customer relationships, preparing marketing tools, conducting site visits, reporting opportunities, and tracking client feedback Manage bidding and estimating activities, including RFQ reviews, site walks, takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, schedule development, risk reviews, and final proposal preparation Coordinate project planning with executive leadership, engineering, fabrication, supervision, and supply chain to optimize schedules, resources, and field efficiency Establish and maintain project budgets, cost projections, schedules, and documentation while tracking performance and driving cost control and profitability Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, RFIs, and all project communications in compliance with company standards and procedures Provide active field support through jobsite visits, issue resolution, safety oversight, quality inspections, and proactive stakeholder communication Support team development by mentoring supervisors and staff, enforcing company values, improving processes, and assisting with training and talent developmentQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered 1-5 years of experience in construction project engineering, estimating, or project coordination Working knowledge of construction processes including scheduling, cost control, subcontractor coordination, and change management Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and RFQs Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management/estimating software Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, field supervision, vendors, and management Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
