Job Title:
Civil Engineer Job Description We are looking for a Civil or Environmental Engineer to work on a variety of solid waste projects. You will support design for landfills and landfill gas systems, permitting, construction plans, and construction oversights. This role involves long field days at times, offering a great learning opportunity. The position can be hybrid when not required to be in the field. This role will require travel to sites in neighboring states. Responsibilities Assist other staff in overseeing drilling activities involving probe and well installation, borehole logging, well development, well construction, monitoring, and sampling. Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations and similar construction inspections for compliance with design plans, specifications, and construction quality control reviews on work products (reports, design plans, calculations, data, etc.) before submission to the Project or Task Manager. Collaborate with project teams to ensure design specifications are met. Utilize Civil 3D software for design and modeling tasks. Compile data and assist in preparing portions of reports, progressing toward the ability to prepare complete reports, such as environmental site assessments, emissions monitoring, groundwater/soil investigation, compliance, and other project reporting. Essential Skills Proficiency in Civil 3D software. Strong background in civil engineering and design. Microsoft Excel and Word Technical Report Writing Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with landfill projects is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Work Environment The role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will use advanced technologies and software, including Civil 3D, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
