Class commissioned submarines by providing engineering technical support for modernization and maintenance of the reactor plant. Role Overview As an RPPY Structural Engineer, you will provide engineering support for Naval Nuclear Power Training Units, which include the Moored Training Ships and the S8G Prototype. This position requires the ability to resolve of a wide variety of technical challenges, directly supporting the commissioned fleet. Technical expertise and knowledge of structural engineering, submarine arrangements, military and federal specifications, welding, fasteners, material properties, and project management are all beneficial to the position. Key Responsibilities Act as the lead engineer on ship alterations to support fleet modernization.
