You will be tasked with the upkeep of essential mechanical infrastructure that powers a 24/7 live broadcast environment. This role goes beyond standard commercial facilities management. You will be responsible for the optimization and maintenance of sophisticated HVAC, electrical, and chilled water systems, along with building automation. In this mission-critical setting, even minor equipment malfunctions can disrupt broadcasts reaching millions of viewers. Your Impact As a Senior Industrial Building Engineer, you will guarantee the maximum uptime and reliability of all mechanical systems essential to our broadcast success. Core Responsibilities Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize mechanical and HVAC systems that support studios, server rooms, and technical areas. Oversee the performance of air handling units (AHUs), chilled water loops, VAV systems, and precision cooling hardware. Monitor and operate critical infrastructure including: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units. Backup diesel generators. Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). Chiller systems.

CRAH/CRAC

units. Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) to track environmental metrics and address alarms promptly. Maintain precise humidity and temperature levels to protect sensitive broadcast equipment. Execute advanced corrective and preventative maintenance on facility mechanical systems. Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures to prevent future recurring issues. Coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure zero disruption to live broadcast schedules. Partner with Digital Technology and Broadcast Engineering teams to meet production needs. Improve energy efficiency while ensuring systems operate at peak performance. Assist with renovations, new studio builds, and equipment commissioning. Supervise external vendors and contractors performing on-site work. Document all activities within CMMS and work order platforms. Verify compliance with ASHRAE, OSHA, and local building codes. Foster a workplace culture centered on reliability, safety, and operational excellence. Facility Oversight Live Television Studios Production Control Rooms Master Control Rooms (MCR) Equipment Rooms Broadcast Racks Data Centers Server Rooms Technical Operations Areas Your contributions directly ensure the consistency of our live broadcast output. Required Experience 7+ years of experience in commercial or industrial building engineering. Proven track record maintaining mission-critical mechanical systems. Expertise in HVAC repair and troubleshooting. Experience managing precision cooling and chilled water systems. Hands-on proficiency with Building Automation Systems (BMS/BAS). Experience working in environments where operational uptime is paramount. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Current EPA Certification. Valid Florida Driver's License. Ability to independently resolve complex mechanical system issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent documentation and organizational habits. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to team collaboration. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R, Facilities Engineering, or a related field. Relevant HVAC Technical Certification. OSHA 10 or 30 Certification. Experience with iOFFICE, ServiceNow, or similar CMMS platforms. Working knowledge of general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and painting. Work Environment This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced, mission-critical broadcast facility where equipment reliability is non-negotiable.
