Job Description
Structural Engineer (EIT) Atlanta, GA Our client, a well-established structural engineering consultancy in the Atlanta area, is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer (EIT) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to accelerate their professional development, gain exposure to a diverse range of building projects, and work alongside experienced engineers who are committed to supporting the path toward PE licensure. The successful candidate will be involved in the analysis, design, and delivery of structural projects across a variety of markets, including commercial, multifamily, industrial, healthcare, education, retail, and office developments. This position offers significant hands-on experience and the opportunity to work closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects. Prepare structural calculations, reports, and engineering documentation. Assist in the development of construction documents and drawing packages. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project teams throughout project execution. Support site visits, field observations, and existing building evaluations. Contribute to renovation, retrofit, and new construction projects. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. EIT certification or actively pursuing licensure. 1-5 years of structural engineering experience preferred. Experience performing structural analysis and design for building structures. Familiarity with structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundations. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
