ARCO/Murray is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the Chicago, IL, and Fort Lauderdale, FL, markets. In this role, you will play a key part in our design/build process by performing site due diligence, designing & drafting land development concept plans, and guiding clients through the first steps toward bringing their building to life. You get the opportunity to solve the big picture and leave the details and minutiae to someone else. A Day in theLife:
Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting teamNecessary Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline. 2-8 years' of land planning experience in Chicago AutoCad Civil 3D experience creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles is a plus Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, FWS wetland maps, record civil and survey drawings Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required. ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure for EIT and offer a $5,000 bonus for successful competition of PE licenseWhat We Can Offer You:
