Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented OnSite Project Engineer (Concrete Construction) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management and engineering, with experience in Concrete Construction , project coordination and scheduling. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position travels to multiple sites outside of Chicago, 85% of the time. Responsibilities Collaborate with OnSite Project Manager to complete projects on schedule and on budget Assist in the preparation of construction estimates and budgets, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings and site visits to monitor progress. Review blueprints and schematics to ensure compliance with design specifications and contract requirements. Attend onsite meetings; adherence to safety standards. Manage contracts and maintain documentation related to project changes, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals. Utilize tools like Bluebeam, Plangrid & Autodesk Cloud for document management and collaboration among team members. Apply time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet project deadlines. Manage warranty items post-construction timeline Project locations vary from project to project (i.e., Florida, Texas, California, Massachusetts) Travel, vehicle, temporary housing and expenses included for each project as needed Experience Proven experience in construction management or project engineering roles is essential. Proficiency in understanding construction plans and technical documents for buildings and onsite scopes of work Strong understanding of project scheduling Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. Previous experience on construction sites is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
