Civil Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team, which is part of a full-service A/E Firm specializing in Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Civil disciplines. This role will be a key part of the Civil Team, collaborating on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to bring basic concepts and ideas to fruition with minimal supervision and excel in a team-based environment. Responsibilities include conducting site observations, field documentation, and analysis of existing sites. Responsibilities Conduct site feasibility studies and environmental analysis. Develop schematic designs and coordinate engineering systems. Perform site cost analysis and design development. Prepare detailed site construction documents. Research specifications and materials. Perform document checking and coordination. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field. 0-2 or more years of experience in site/civil design, including knowledge of authoritative codes and regulations, subsurface utilities design, site grading, storm sewer systems, and land disturbance permitting. Possession of, or progress towards, an EIT certification. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater, drainage, and grading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Desire to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience in project management is advantageous. Why Apply? Wayne, IN. The successful candidate will enjoy a supportive and close-knit team environment with ample opportunities for professional growth. The role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, with approximately 50% supporting the Architectural Team in educational and commercial developments, and 50% working directly with industrial clients on site/land development projects. The work environment is dynamic, and the backlog of projects ensures long-term opportunities for contribution and development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
