We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Project Engineer / Designer.
Position description:
The Project Engineer / Designer is responsible for the coordination, execution, and completion of Die Engineering and Design activities from project kickoff through die manufacturing. This role oversees project timing, quality, cost, and technical execution during the process engineering, simulation, surfacing, and die design phases. In addition to project engineering responsibilities, this position performs advanced CAD design and surfacing activities using CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX, including the creation, modification, and validation of die surfaces and manufacturing data. The position requires strong technical expertise in sheet metal forming, die construction, and CAD modeling, along with the ability to lead design reviews and coordinate activities with internal teams, customers, and external suppliers. The ideal candidate possesses relevant experience and is capable of independently managing multiple projects while providing technical leadership throughout the engineering and design process.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of four (4) years' experience, education or combination preferred Knowledge of sheet metal stamping dies and sheet metal formability Must be able to effectively communicate technical issues and concerns (both written and verbal) with external and internal customers and work to drive resolution CAD experience (either CATIA or NX or both preferably) Ability to travel when required to suppliers and pattern sources.
