This role will play a key part in design engineering, pre-construction services, and project execution - working from engineered/pulled plans through submittals, work plans, and coordination with the project team. This is a travel-based position; travel and per diem are provided for time spent on-site. Responsibilities Support design engineering efforts, including review and interpretation of engineered/pulled plans and specifications Assist with pre-construction services, including scope development, constructability reviews, and scheduling input Prepare, track, and manage project submittals to ensure timely review and approval Develop and maintain work plans in coordination with project management and field supervision Support day-to-day project management tasks, including coordination with owners, subcontractors, and design teams Ensure project documentation and deliverables meet contract and regulatory requirements, including those specific to USACE contracts Collaborate with project managers and site superintendents to identify and resolve design or constructability issues Assist with quality control processes and documentation as required on federal/military construction projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required Experience in design engineering, pre-construction services, and/or project management within heavy civil or federal construction Experience preparing and managing submittals and work plans Prior experience working on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects strongly preferred Familiarity with USACE systems and processes (e.g., RMS, QCS, SF 1442/submittal registers) a plus Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across project teams Willingness and ability to travel to the Kansas City project site as needed What We Offer Competitive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance.
