Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our U.S. Rebuild team in North Wilkesboro, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Oversee the completion of work by contractors in the specific trade. Accountable for work to be completed under applicable codes and standards, and within the project timeline and budget Build a portfolio of state licensures, specifically in states where Samaritan's Purse frequently works Ensure that all civil engineering projects adhere to legal guidelines and safety standards, and collaborate with architects, contractors, leadership, and field staff Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to help create blueprints and models, as well as analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects Assist in project design and planning, including material estimates, scheduling, project benchmarks, and staffing needs Other duties as assigned What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and five (5) to seven (7) years' related experience and/or training Thorough knowledge of the construction industry, standards, and processes. Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software. Strong knowledge of Civil engineering principles and practices. Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints. Thorough knowledge of sustainable building practices. What are the benefits?
