Job Description

Aircraft Structural Stress Engineer responsible for load development, structural analysis, certification support, and modification of primary and secondary aircraft structures and interior installations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline. 12+ years of fixed-wing commercial or military aircraft structural analysis experience. Experience performing classical stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures. Advanced experience with finite element analysis methods. Proficiency with MSC Nastran and Siemens Femap. Experience constructing air vehicle finite element models in Nastran. Experience calibrating and validating finite element models against test data. Experience with static strength analysis of major external aircraft modifications. Experience with primary structure repair and modification of fixed-wing transport category aircraft. Knowledge of FAA structural certification requirements. Experience with strain gage testing for aircraft certification. Experience testing composite and metallic structural components. Experience designing and analyzing aircraft structural repairs. Experience preparing structural stress reports for aircraft certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Preferred Skills NX CAD experience. Teamcenter experience. VBA programming experience within Microsoft Excel. Experience with aircraft interior structural installations and equipment racks. Experience providing MRB structural analysis support. Job Responsibilities Develop loads and perform stress analysis for primary and secondary aircraft structures. Analyze equipment racks, interior installations, and related structural components. Perform classical stress analysis and finite element analysis. Build, update, and validate finite element models using Nastran and Femap. Support aircraft structural design and modification activities. Perform detailed stress analysis for structural repairs and modifications. Provide MRB support for primary aircraft structures and interior components. Analyze static strength of major external modifications and structural repairs. Support strain gage and structural testing activities. Evaluate composite and metallic structural components. Prepare structural analysis and stress reports for certification. Support compliance with FAA structural requirements for fixed-wing transport category aircraft.
Pay:
