Job Description

Radin Consulting, Inc., a transportation planning and design firm, is looking for a full-time Mid-level Civil Engineer in Newark, New Jersey. The candidate should have strong skills in engineering analysis, development of construction documents (plans and specifications), cost estimating, and scheduling. The position requires office presence in Newark for 5 days a week. The position may require site visits to validate design. Salary range is competitive and will be based on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits are included. Qualifications Bachelors or master's degree in Civil Engineering. 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering. EIT or PE in NY/NJ preferred or goal of obtaining PE license within 1-2 years Prepare engineering designs and work with other team members for support Strong quantitative skills Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office In depth knowledge of 3D design software AutoCAD/ Civil 3D required. Responsibilities Prepare engineering documents/reports including preparing descriptive charts, maps, tables, etc. Work closely with project managers to support clients with civil engineering design for transportation projects Conduct/support design analysis through application of quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques, Prepare specifications and plans. Perform calculations to support planning and design objectives Inspect project sites to validate design Assist with quality control and quality assurance.
