Full-TimePosition OverviewOur Client, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of specialized composite products, is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Mechanical / Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in mechanical and structural design, manufacturing engineering, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced engineering analysis, supporting manufacturing operations, troubleshooting production issues, improving processes, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate is an independent thinker, self-motivated, analytical, and highly skilled at identifying problems and developing practical, effective solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Finite Element Analysis (FEA), structural evaluations, and other engineering simulations using ANSYS.Conduct mechanical and structural design engineering activities, with exposure to electrical design as needed.

Develop and evaluate engineering solutions to support product performance, manufacturability, quality, and reliability.

Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production and process-related issues.

Identify root causes of manufacturing problems and recommend effective corrective actions.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to improve production quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Identify and recommend materials, equipment, tooling, and process improvements that can enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.

Develop and support the implementation of manufacturing aids, jigs, fixtures, and process instructions.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and help optimize manufacturing processes.

Ensure engineering and manufacturing activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable quality standards.

Maintain appropriate engineering documentation and communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to internal teams.

Support compliance with ISO 9000 and other Quality Management System (QMS) practices.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a closely related engineering discipline.10+ years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering and/or mechanical engineering.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ANSYS FEA and CFD analysis software.

Minimum 5 years of experience with
CATIA CAD
software.

Experience with mechanical and structural engineering design.

Strong experience developing manufacturing aids, jigs, fixtures, and process instructions.

Familiarity with ISO 9000 or other Quality Management Systems (QMS).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.

Proven ability to troubleshoot production and process-related issues.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred AttributesStrong combination of design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and FEA/CFD expertise.

Experience working with composite materials or composite manufacturing environments.

Ability to translate engineering analysis into practical manufacturing solutions.

Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineering staff.
