Full Job Description Job Opportunity:
Columbus, OH Our client is looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team. Our client is an engineering firm that specializes in structural design, documentation, code analysis, and engineering solutions for commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, civic, and other building projects. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing structures and building components to help build safe and affordable structures.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Design and analyze structures and components using software and manual calculations Ensure designs, reports, and documentation are accurate and meet all relevant codes, standards, and requirements Collaborate with clients and internal and external team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and per plan Coordinate project details with the Project Manager and Production Group throughout design Independently perform site visits to evaluate structural conditions
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, or architectural engineering 6+ years of building design experience Steel and concrete experience Strong understanding of statics and mechanics of structures Knowledgeable of relevant building codes and standards Advanced proficiency with structural design software (Revit and AutoCAD) Excellent collaborative and communication skills Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
