Structural Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer to design structural components for manufactured equipment, including support structures and access platforms. This role collaborates closely with in-house Mechanical and Electrical teams, as well as external engineering firms, to deliver complete, coordinated system designs while meeting project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

Manage and mentor 2-3 Civil/Structural Designers Plan and execute projects to meet schedule, technical, and budget requirements Coordinate design efforts across structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines Develop equipment layouts and General Arrangement drawings Perform engineering calculations and create designs for structures, platforms, ductwork, tanks, and buildings Prepare purchase specifications for outsourced components and equipment Develop scopes of work, solicit bids, and manage subcontracted engineering firms Review and approve drawings prior to release Respond to RFIs from fabricators and contractors Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience Proficiency in STAAD (structural analysis) and AutoCAD Strong design, problem-solving, and planning skills Experience with site development and conceptual design Interest in obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys leading projects from concept through completion.
