OSHA 30 The Opportunity You will serve as the primary management authority for NorthStar Steel's field operations, leading the execution of complex commercial and industrial steel erection projects. This role empowers you with direct lines to executive leadership and the operational autonomy needed to build high-performing field teams. You will drive overall business profitability and growth while directly shaping our long-term field standards, safety culture, and jobsite quality. How You Will Make an
Impact:
Direct all field operations and superintendents to consistently achieve project safety, schedule, and quality goals. Optimize field productivity and labor scheduling across multiple active commercial and industrial jobsites. Establish standard field execution procedures for pre-engineered metal building and structural steel erection. Coordinate crane logistics, heavy equipment utilization, and field material deliveries to maximize site efficiency. Evaluate project labor budgets against active progress to control costs, eliminate rework, and protect margins. Mentor field superintendents and foremen to enhance leadership capabilities and technical field proficiency. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in structural steel or pre-engineered metal building erection. Significant experience leading steel erection crews, superintendents, and field operations across multiple sites. Deep knowledge of PEMB erection procedures, structural framing, panel systems, sequencing, and constructability. Proven capability to analyze erection drawings, structural blue prints, specifications, and project schedules. Demonstrated experience coordinating cranes, heavy rigging operations, and field equipment logistics. Valid OSHA 30 or ability to obtain Valid driver's license with the ability to visit active jobsites regularly. Preferred Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of dedicated PEMB and structural steel field erection experience. Prior success managing multi-project superintendents across large-scale commercial and industrial builds. Extensive experience working with major pre-engineered metal building manufacturers and general contractors. Strong background in project scheduling, labor forecasting, and field-level cost containment strategies.
NCCER Certification Compensation & Benefits:
