Full-Time Permanent Salary Range:
$100,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience) We are seeking an experienced Civil/Environmental Engineer (Professional Engineer-P.E.) to join our growing engineering team. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with experience in sanitary and municipal engineering who is looking to take a lead role in the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects serving both public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in wastewater collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, and wastewater treatment facilities, along with the leadership skills to manage projects, mentor technical staff, and build strong client relationships.Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead engineer for sanitary and municipal engineering projects from planning through construction. Prepare feasibility studies, engineering reports, planning documents, and technical analyses. Design wastewater collection systems, pump stations, force mains, and wastewater treatment facilities. Perform hydraulic modeling, engineering calculations, and equipment sizing. Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and assist with environmental permitting. Manage projects through the public bidding process and provide construction administration services. Supervise and mentor design technicians and junior engineering staff. Communicate effectively with clients, municipalities, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout project development.Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain Pennsylvania licensure through reciprocity. 5-10 years of experience in sanitary and municipal engineering. Demonstrated experience with wastewater collection systems, conveyance infrastructure, pump stations, and wastewater treatment facilities. Working knowledge of Pennsylvania environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and municipal engineering practices. Experience with erosion and sediment control and stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs).- Knowledgeable with engineering software including AutoCAD, EPA-SWMM, StormCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Experience preparing technical specifications and administering public bidding projects.
