Job Description
Job Summary Project Assistant / Junior Project Engineer We are looking for an organized, dependable person to assist our Project Managers with commercial construction projects. This is an in-office position, candidates must live in the Pittsburgh area. We are open to candidates from either of the following backgrounds: An experienced administrative professional who is organized, communicates well, and is interested in learning the construction industry; or A recent graduate in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field who is interested in beginning a career in construction project management. The right person does not need to have both administrative experience and construction education. We are willing to provide training based on the candidate's background. Responsibilities Keep project files, documents, and information organized. Assist with emails, meeting notes, and project correspondence. Track project paperwork and outstanding items. Communicate and follow up with subcontractors, vendors, and other project team members. Help the Project Manager stay on top of deadlines. Assist with bidding, project startup, and closeout paperwork. Provide general administrative and project support as needed. Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow tasks through completion. Comfortable working with multiple priorities and deadlines. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. Candidates should have either strong administrative experience or construction-related education. Previous construction experience is helpful but not required for candidates with a strong administrative background.
