Job Description
Conduct technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations.
Prepare applications, calculations, reports, and studies for presentation and compliance with local, county, and state permitting requirements.
Liaise with clients and a variety of professionals, including architects and subcontractors.
Perform peer reviews of subdivision and land development plans for compliance with applicable municipal regulations.
Compile job specifications and estimates.
Resolve design and development issues.
Manage project budgets and resources.
Schedule material and equipment purchases and deliveries.
Ensure projects run smoothly and are completed within budget and on schedule.
Conduct construction-site investigations and review survey reports, topographical, aerial, and geographical maps, as well as soil and construction material testing.
Conduct feasibility studies, including estimating project costs for materials, labor, and other requirements.
Review government regulations and permitting requirements.
Develop designs and plans using applicable CADD software and governmental guidelines.
Assess project risks related to labor and materials and provide appropriate safety measures and equipment.
Manage project deadlines, budgets, and timelines.
Present project progress and findings to clients, authorities, or the public through meetings and progress reports.
Monitor, manage, and control the smooth functioning of all aspects of the project.
Candidates with all levels of experience will be considered.
QualificationsCivil Engineering experience.
Experience with civil infrastructure, land development, site design, stormwater management, or related areas.
Ability to read and interpret survey reports, maps, plans, and technical documents.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines.
CADD/software experience relevant to civil engineering design is preferred.
