Job Description
Metric is expanding, and we're looking for a motivated Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join our Georgetown office and support a growing portfolio of land development and public facilities and infrastructure projects. If you're eager to work on projects that shape communities—roads, utilities, drainage systems, and site development—this is a great opportunity to build your career with a collaborative, forward-thinking team. What You'll Do Assist in the design of land/site development and public facility and infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, and utility systems Prepare construction documents, plans, and technical specifications Perform stormwater management, hydrology/hydraulic calculations, and site layout design Support permitting efforts with local and state agencies Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders Participate in field visits, site inspections, and project meetings What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited institution EIT certification required (or actively pursuing) 2+ years of experience in land development, site design, or infrastructure projects Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) and other design tools Familiarity with local Austin / Central Texas design standards and permitting processes is a plus Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure Why Metric?
