This role is ideal for a hands-on structural engineering professional with strong technical expertise, consulting experience, and the ability to take projects from initial design through completion. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on complex structural systems and collaborating with clients, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design and analyze structural systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. Perform structural calculations, evaluations, and engineering analysis in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Develop and review structural drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documentation. Apply engineering principles to solve complex structural and design challenges. Utilize structural analysis and finite element analysis software to evaluate structures and develop efficient design solutions. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site visits, structural assessments, and field investigations as needed. Review existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs, modifications, or improvements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced engineers and designers. Communicate directly with clients and contribute to project planning, scope development, and technical proposals. Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, industry standards, and project requirements. Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and project deadlines.
