Job Description

Senior Structural Engineering Professional Role Overview We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and self-directed Senior Structural Engineering Professional to join our growing design team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive structural analysis and design for complex projects, developing structural concepts and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate design requirements into accurate construction documents and 3D models. This is a high-impact, independent engineering position for a technical professional who can execute conventional structural aspects with minimal supervision while exercising sound engineering judgment. You will take complete ownership of your structural scope, manage schedules and budgets, mentor junior staff, and occasionally serve as a Lead Structural Engineer for mid-sized projects or Sub-Lead for larger initiatives. If you possess a solid foundation in structural fundamentals and industrial facility design, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Engineering Analysis & Design
  • Independent Execution:
    Competently perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis, design, and calculation checking with minimal supervision.
  • Lateral & Seismic Design:
    Apply deep knowledge of lateral analysis principles and practices (wind and seismic), ensuring full compliance with current building code provisions.
  • Scope Ownership:
    Take complete ownership of assigned structural scopes, reliably working to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements; identify scope changes and escalate as needed.
  • Quality & Detail Control:
    Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control, rigorously checking your own work and collaborating with peers and seniors for guidance. Collaboration, Leadership & Technology
  • Multidisciplinary Coordination:
    Work closely with Structural Leads, engineers, and designers across other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural requirements.
  • Mentorship & Guidance:
    Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting/design personnel.
  • Workflow Innovation:
    Proactively advance workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline, embracing emerging technologies and digital design methods. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering with an explicit emphasis in Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Licensure:
    Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (or P.Eng equivalent).
  • Experience Baseline:
    Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in structural engineering design and analysis.

Technical Mastery:
oHigh proficiency with US building codes and standards, including
IBC, ASCE
7, ACI, and AISC. oDemonstrated expertise designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures. oWorking proficiency with industry-standard structural analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
  • Core Competencies:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities; proven capacity to work independently and make sound technical judgments under pressure. Preferred Attributes
  • Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (or dedicated Master's in Structural Engineering).
  • Active Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • Specialized design experience within semiconductor, heavy industrial, or complex industrial manufacturing facilities.
  • Prior experience leading medium-sized engineering teams and managing client deliverables. Logistics & Remote Work Requirements
  • Work Arrangement:
    Remote position. Eligible home locations must be within the USA Northwest Region (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, WY) or Canada.
