Working as the Staff Engineer , you can expect to support the planning, design, review, and management of a wide variety of municipal engineering projects that help shape and maintain Collierville's infrastructure. In this role, you will assist senior engineering staff with projects involving drainage, water and sewer systems, roadways, transportation improvements, and traffic safety studies; conduct traffic counts and support the operation and evaluation of traffic signal systems and equipment; review development and construction plans to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, ordinances, and regulations; and provide technical recommendations on private and public development projects. You will also assist with project management activities for public works construction projects, perform site visits and field inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications, collect and analyze engineering data, measure grades and elevations, and contribute to the development of water, sewer, traffic, and comprehensive planning maps and databases. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse engineering projects while helping ensure the safety, functionality, and continued growth of the Town's infrastructure.
