Building Engineer

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Building Engineer to support a manufacturing facility environment in Rockford, TN . This 3-month contract role is ideal for a maintenance professional with strong HVAC experience and a well-rounded facilities background who can work both independently and within a team environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with occasional overtime as needed.

Job Description:

Perform maintenance and repairs across building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility equipment Complete preventive maintenance tasks including changing filters, replacing belts, and servicing building equipment Troubleshoot and maintain pumps, motors, and high-pressure boiler systems Complete work orders accurately and maintain documentation for maintenance activities Perform general maintenance duties including patching, painting, furniture assembly, and facility upkeep Support maintenance activities across three separate buildings as needed Conduct inspections of building systems and ensure equipment operates within established standards Assist with maintaining energy efficiency and operational performance of building systems Utilize CMMS and Microsoft Office tools for work order tracking and communication Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company and regulatory safety procedures

Must Have Qualifications:

3-5 years of building maintenance, facilities, or engineering experience Strong commercial HVAC experience Experience working with high-pressure boilers, pumps, and motors Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair experience Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete paperwork and documentation accurately Good customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and email systems High school diploma or GED required Nice to

Have Qualifications:

Universal CFC certification Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) Basic plumbing experience Experience with fire extinguisher maintenance CMMS experience Trade school education or additional technical certifications Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

Pay:

$27.00 - $29.95 per hour
