This vital role ensures that all building systems—including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior elements—function seamlessly to create a safe, comfortable, and productive environment. The Building Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the facilities, troubleshooting issues promptly, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about facilities management and technical excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to support building upkeep and aesthetic enhancements. Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical panels. Utilize hand tools and electrical equipment to carry out repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Lead or assist with maintenance painting projects to uphold the building's appearance and safety standards. Review schematics and technical manuals for complex repairs; document all maintenance activities accurately. Provide excellent customer service by addressing occupant concerns promptly and professionally. Support leadership in planning maintenance schedules and managing inventory of parts and tools necessary for operations. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and interior building upkeep. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to electrical equipment repair and building systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC troubleshooting, and electrical equipment repair. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) practices. Strong knowledge of building interior maintenance including carpentry, painting (residential or commercial), drywall repair, and general handyman skills. Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and occupants. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
