(Commercial & Industrial Projects) Build Projects That Matter. We're seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects from design through construction while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You'll be involved in a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers, work directly with clients, and play a key role in project delivery. What You'll Do Design and analyze structural systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects. Perform structural calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems. Prepare engineering reports, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation. Review and approve engineering drawings and construction documents. Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and client requirements. Manage multiple projects while maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Conduct field visits, site observations, and provide construction administration support. Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and assist in resolving construction-related issues. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering. Active Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required. 5+ years of structural engineering experience. Experience designing structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation systems.
Strong knowledge of:
IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7
Experience with structural analysis and design software such as:RISA, RAM, STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
