How to be a difference maker: Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mechanical/Structural Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementation of overhead cranes and material-handling structures. Your expertise will drive the creation of robust, efficient, and compliant mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration into complex engineering products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development, utilizing CAD tools and engineering principles to deliver high-quality solutions that meet rigorous industry standards. In this role you will have hands-on exposure to heavy industrial equipment, structural steel design, fabrication processes, and field installation practices. Key Responsibilities Design, modeling, and detailing of overhead crane components, runway systems, monorails, and structural supports. Perform structural calculations, including stress analysis, load capacity evaluation, and beam/column sizing. Creation and updating of 2D and 3D models using Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Review fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and manufacturing specifications for accuracy and compliance. Prepare project documentation, engineering reports, and certification packages. Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical and structural components. Engage in change processes and root-cause investigations related to mechanical or structural issues. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as CMAA, AISC, ASME, and OSHA. Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Understanding of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis principles. Familiarity with modeling and drafting software (Creo, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic welding/fabrication symbols. Interest in heavy equipment, lifting devices, cranes, or industrial manufacturing. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Motivation to learn and participate in hands-on field or shop work.
