About Elk Heights Excavation Elk Heights Excavation is looking for an experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our team. Our projects typically range from $1 million to $5 million and include commercial, multifamily, and site development work. As a Construction Project Engineer, you'll report directly to the General Manager and work closely with our Estimator, Foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and clients to support projects from planning through completion. Who You Are Motivated to build a long-term career in construction Self-driven, organized, and a quick learner Experienced in commercial and/or multifamily construction Honest, dependable, and committed to doing quality work Comfortable working both in the office and in the field Willing to get hands-on when the job requires it Able to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with field personnel, subcontractors, and clients What You'll Do Support project teams with day-to-day project coordination Work closely with the General Manager, Estimator, Foremen, subcontractors, clients, and other project partners Assist with project scheduling, submittals, field tracking, and project documentation Review and help budget RFIs, ASIs, and change orders Assist with change order pricing and estimating Support project bidding and contract administration as needed Visit active projects to provide support to Foremen and field crews Track project progress, costs, schedules, and deliverables Assist with project management across a variety of commercial, multifamily, and site development projects Continue developing construction management and project leadership skills in a supportive, challenging environment Qualifications & Experience Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field OR at least 2 years of relevant construction/project experience Experience with commercial and/or multifamily construction Demonstrated progression of responsibility in previous positions Familiarity with construction project management, estimating, bidding, contracting, submittals, and project tracking Experience with Bluebeam and Procore preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and Word Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with field personnel, subcontractors, and clients Strong work ethic and a willingness to work both in the office and in the field What We Offer $75,000-$95,000 annual salary , based on experience Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off Overtime as needed Why Join Elk Heights Excavation?
