About the
Role:
The 2027 Summer Internship in Structural Engineering offers an immersive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural systems. Interns will contribute to real-world projects under the guidance of experienced engineers, enhancing their understanding of engineering principles and industry standards. This role aims to develop technical proficiency in structural modeling, material selection, and safety compliance while fostering problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Interns will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the successful delivery of infrastructure and building projects. Ultimately, this internship prepares candidates for a future career in structural engineering by providing practical exposure and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering. Strong foundational knowledge of structural engineering principles and materials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic understanding of engineering design software such as AutoCAD or Revit. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internship or project experience in structural engineering. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through coursework or projects. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and review of structural design calculations and drawings. Support the analysis of structural components using engineering software and manual methods. Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet safety codes, client requirements, and budget constraints. Contribute to technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and client use.
