Role summary Our client is seeking a motivated, growth-oriented Junior Civil Engineer with 7-10 years of professional experience to join an expanding team. This is a strategic bridge role. It offers the chance to balance hands-on technical civil design production with emerging project management and client coordination responsibility, on a clear path from EIT toward autonomous project ownership. Key responsibilities Civil design and modeling. Perform civil engineering design calculations, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and site analyses for residential, commercial, municipal, and regional infrastructure projects. Construction documents. Produce and contribute to high-fidelity construction documents, grading plans, utility layouts, and roadway alignments in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Survey integration. Process, analyze, and integrate raw field topographical and boundary survey data from the internal land surveying division to establish accurate project basemaps. Technical reporting. Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, project specifications, and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP). Permitting. Compile, submit, and track regulatory permit applications in compliance with local municipal codes, state agencies (WYDEQ, WYDOT), and federal resource entities (BLM). Project support. Assist project principals with project management operations, including cost estimation, capital expenditure tracking, contractor submittal reviews, and on-site construction monitoring. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. 7-10 years of progressive professional experience in civil design, land development, infrastructure modeling, or municipal engineering. Active FE certification or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status required. An active Wyoming PE license, or a clear path to immediate comity reciprocity, is highly preferred and sits at the upper end of the salary band. High daily proficiency and recent hands-on experience with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Direct experience with the Esri ArcGIS platform is highly preferred. A solid grasp of local construction methods, regional design standards, and storm water management, with an active desire to take on client-facing and leadership responsibility.

$85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
