Job Description
Position Summary:
Position will assist in producing standard construction plan sets, details, and exhibits.Basic Duties:
- Assist in the design and development of commercial and institutional civil plans and drawings using Civil 3D.
- Assist in the research, plan and design of projects for clients under the supervision of a senior engineer.
- Prepare grading plans, sections, utility plans and coordination items as directed by a senior engineer.
- Apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, and building codes to design and production work.
- Prepare culvert and hydrology improvements plans as directed by project hydrologist.
- Prepare construction documentation with regard to design, material specification, and detailing.
- Prepare or assist in preparing material quantity estimates, and civil designs.
- Support civil projects by preparing routine layouts, detailing drawings, sketches and diagrams, details shall depict all views and dimensions necessary.
- Coordinate with other departments as needed for project coordination and confirmation of civil design.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' relative industrial, commercial, and land development experience is required.
- Associate degree in civil engineering, or related field.
- Experience with surface modeling and analysis.
- Working knowledge and experience using AutoCad Civil 3D and MS Office.
- Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
- Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
- A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Pass background check.
Desired Qualifications:
- EIT
- Previous mining experience.
- Bilingual English / Spanish abilities.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
