Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and motivated Architecture/Interior Designer Intern to join our dynamic design team. This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in architectural and interior design projects, working closely with seasoned professionals. As an intern, you will contribute to a variety of design phases, from conceptual development to construction documentation, while honing your skills in sustainable design, building code analysis, and project management. This role is ideal for aspiring designers eager to immerse themselves in real-world projects and develop a comprehensive understanding of the architectural and interior design industry. Duties Assist in creating detailed construction drawings and construction documentation using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Rhino 3D. Support 3D modeling efforts for architectural and interior design projects utilizing tools like SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, and Rhino 3D. Prepare renderings and visualizations with Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software to communicate design concepts effectively. Conduct building code analysis and ensure design compliance with accessibility regulations and construction regulatory standards. Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and construction estimating activities to support project management processes. Collaborate on sustainable design initiatives by integrating eco-friendly materials and building information modeling (BIM) tools into project workflows. Assist in the development of construction detail documentation, construction accessibility regulations adherence, and contract review processes. Support business development efforts by preparing presentation materials and participating in client meetings when needed. Requirements Currently enrolled in an accredited architecture or interior design program or recent graduate with relevant coursework or experience. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction drawings, and construction management processes. Experience with 3D modeling for architectural design and rendering techniques. Knowledge of building code compliance, accessibility standards, and construction regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Demonstrated interest in sustainable design practices and innovative building solutions. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
