Luxury Closet Designer & Design Consultant Pay:

Come grow with Tampa's first custom closet company! We're looking for a driven, creative, and relationship-focused Closet Designer & Design Consultant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves design, enjoys working directly with homeowners, and knows how to turn a great conversation into a successful sale. As a Closet Designer, you'll meet with clients in their homes, learn how they use their space, and create beautiful, highly functional custom storage solutions tailored to their lifestyle. You'll combine your eye for design with your ability to build relationships, present solutions, and confidently close sales. This role is about more than designing closets — you'll be creating personalized spaces while building lasting relationships with clients. What We Offer $65,000-$130,000 earning potential Four-day workweek with a flexible monthly schedule Paid training with a fixed base during the initial training period Comprehensive onboarding and training on JL Closets' design systems and workflow Pre-qualified company leads to keep your pipeline moving Opportunity to work with high-end homeowners and luxury clientele Family-owned Tampa company with strong growth potential 100% commission-based compensation after the initial 2-month training period What You'll Do Meet with homeowners for in-home design consultations Listen to clients' needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget Measure spaces and develop customized closet and storage solutions Create professional layouts and 3D designs using digital design tools Present design concepts, materials, finishes, and storage options Educate clients on the value and functionality of their custom solutions Build trust and establish strong relationships throughout the sales process Manage consultations from the initial meeting through the close Follow up with prospects and confidently overcome objections Coordinate with internal teams to ensure designs are accurate and ready for installation Deliver a polished, professional experience from consultation through completion Who We're Looking For You're personable, confident, creative, and motivated by results. The ideal candidate has:

Previous in-home sales and consultation experience A successful track record of closing sales Experience in interior design, cabinetry, closets, home organization, remodeling, or high-end home improvement Experience working with luxury or high-end clientele is highly preferred Strong communication and relationship-building skills A natural ability to ask questions, listen, and understand client needs Confidence presenting designs and discussing pricing A strong sales mentality and desire to earn through performance The ability to remain calm and professional with demanding clients Experience working with cold or unfamiliar leads Reliable transportation for in-home appointments Residence in Pasco, Hillsborough, or Pinellas County, FL Skills & Experience Strong computer and technology skills Ability to quickly learn new design and sales software CAD or 3D design experience preferred Experience with ClosetPro, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design platforms preferred Closet, cabinetry, millwork, or custom storage design experience is a strong plus Interior design and/or space-planning experience preferred Excellent attention to detail and measurement accuracy Ability to commit to four full days per week Some Saturdays required The Opportunity If you're a designer who loves sales , a sales professional with a passion for design, or an experienced in-home consultant ready to take your earning potential to the next level, we want to meet you.
