Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Marietta, GA. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include: Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents. Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs. Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans. Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that may require special access. Desired Skills More than 4 years experience in aerospace vehicle development Experience with Fibersim or 3DX composites design workbench Experience with metallic and composite design Experience with 3D model based design definition Experience with determinant structural assembly design Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
