We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural CAD Draftsman to join our dynamic, on-site team in Springfield, Illinois. Job Summary As an Architectural CAD Draftsman, you will play a critical role in a production capacity, translating conceptual sketches and design ideas into detailed, accurate technical drawings and construction documents. You will assist our designers and project managers on diverse project types, ranging from local commercial developments to historic renovations. This is a fully on-site position at our office on South Sixth Street. Key Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive architectural working drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction components using AutoCAD. Coordinate and integrate structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs into cohesive architectural plans. Modify and revise existing drawings based on design changes, field measurements, and project manager redlines. Ensure all technical drawings comply with local building codes, zoning ordinances, and firm standards. Maintain organized digital project folders and drawing logs.

Qualifications and Skills Experience:

1 to 5+ years of professional architectural drafting experience in an office setting.

Technical Skills:

Absolute proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Familiarity with construction documents and the redlining process is essential. Experience with Revit or BIM software is a strong asset.

Industry Knowledge:

Solid understanding of construction methods, architectural materials, and standard drafting conventions.

Detail-Oriented:

Exceptional accuracy in producing technical documentation and interpreting architectural sketches.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with an in-house team.
