Job Description

QualEx Engineering is a full-service, multi-disciplined engineering firm with offices located in Mt. Vernon Indiana, Louisville Kentucky and Paducah Kentucky. The industrial markets served by QualEx include polymers, refining, bulk chemicals, power/utilities, minerals processing, metals and others. QualEx Engineering is looking for Senior Structural Designer to work in our Mount Vernon, Indiana location. 5 years of experience in the industrial market is preferred but all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Compensation will be determined by skills, education, and experience. Commute/relocation will be required. The successful applicant will assist the Project Manager and Engineers in developing working documents related to the design of site grading and drainage, building and equipment foundations, and steel structures. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Structural Designers will work with AutoCAD, MultiSteel, and other software packages to draft and edit civil/structural engineering documents for industrial clients. Requirements AutoCAD Proficiency Ability to work independently and with others Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines Dedication to producing quality work Refinery, Petrochemical, or other Heavy Industrial experience is a plus Knowledge of construction practices and procedures preferred Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
