Drafting Internship (Part Time) - Denham Springs, LA
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Residential Drafter with knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop to join our team. This role involves creating architectural drawings for residential projects, collaborating with other team members, producing marketing materials, and ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create detailed residential architectural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit software. Modify drawings as per feedback while maintaining accuracy and design intent. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and other team members to ensure seamless project execution. Assist in producing presentation materials and marketing collateral using Photoshop. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards in all drafted designs. Maintain organized project files and documentation. Create detailed site plans to support field staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop. Solid understanding of residential construction methods and materials. Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Previous experience in residential drafting or a related field is preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using any of the Autodesk or Adobe Software Suite Working toward a degree certification in Drafting, Architecture, Industrial Technology, Construction, Marketing or a related field. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows. Experience in creating 3D renderings and visualizations. Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week. Flexible schedule with potential for remote work, depending on project requirements. Opportunity for growth and development within the company.
