We're seeking an experienced Designer who is passionate about residential remodeling and thrives in a collaborative, client-centered environment. Partnering closely with our Senior Designer and project team, you'll help transform ideas into thoughtful, functional, and beautifully executed spaces. From the first client meeting through project completion, you'll play a key role in shaping the homeowner experience while contributing to projects that reflect White Crane's commitment to craftsmanship, communication, and design excellence. Design & Client Experience Conduct on-site design interviews to gather insights and requirements regarding clients' project goals. Create and present conceptual design proposals to clients, working collaboratively with the Senior Designer and Architectural Designer to ensure alignment with project goals and expectations. Prepare and present material selections and design packages, assisting with client decisions and recording selections meticulously. Stay informed on current design trends, source materials from approved vendors, and help curate selections that enhance both form and function. Design Development & Documentation Produce detailed construction drawings and documentation including concept designs, floorplans, interior elevations, finish details, callouts, cabinetry specifications, material selections, fixture selections, and scope documentation using Chief Architect, ensuring clarity for project teams and trade partners. Manage project files and documentation in BuilderTrend software to maintain accurate records and ensure team access to essential data. Collaboration & Project Support Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and project team throughout the design and construction process, including regular job site visits. Serve as a key communicator between clients, project managers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Respond to communications professionally during business hours, offering timely and accurate information. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's or associate degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or from an accredited Kitchen & Bath program. Minimum 5 years of experience in the residential design or remodeling industry. Proficient in Chief Architect and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet project timelines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Strong collaboration skills with a passion for working as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-centered approach. Proactive, motivated, and eager to continue growing within the remodeling and design industry. Creative problem-solver with a strong understanding of functional design. Familiarity with BuilderTrend or similar project management software is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong design aesthetic with a practical understanding of space planning, finishes, and materials. Highly organized, accountability-driven, with strong documentation habits. Strong critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and presentation skills. Adaptability in a dynamic environment with evolving client needs. Why White Crane?
