Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer- Welding/Structural Steel
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on design and drafting experience in structural steel, vessels, ducting, and piping for the power, heavy industrial equipment, or petrochemical industry
- Detailed working knowledge & in-depth experience with AutoCAD and 3-D software such as Inventor, MicroStation, etc. (must be able to make 3D drawings).
- Familiar with applicable codes and standards including OSHA, AISC, and ASME (Section VIII, B31.1, and B31.3).
- Familiar with welding related to structural steel and pressure vessels.
- Ability to apply concepts of advanced geometry and complexity.
