Job Description

Project DesignerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Project Designer to join our architecture and design team. The Project Designer will lead conceptual and schematic design through construction documentation, ensuring designs meet aesthetic, functional and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong architectural design sensibilities, proficiency in Revit, and experience producing comprehensive construction documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to translate concepts into buildable solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop conceptual, schematic, and design development drawings and presentations that communicate design intent and project vision.

Produce accurate construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, ensuring coordination with consultants and compliance with codes and standards.

Create, manage, and maintain Revit models for project teams, including family creation, view setup, phasing, and BIM coordination.

Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (structural, MEP, civil) to resolve design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare client presentations, design narratives, material and finish schedules, and visualizations to support design decisions and approvals.

Participate in site visits and construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting field observations to ensure design intent is realized.

Maintain project documentation, manage drawing revisions, and ensure quality control throughout documentation and delivery phases.

Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on Revit workflows, documentation standards, and detailing best practices.

Qualifications3+ years of professional experience in architecture or design firms, with demonstrated experience in project design and documentation.

Proven proficiency in Autodesk RevitStrong hand and digital sketching, design thinking, and graphic presentation skills.

Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, detailing, and material assemblies.

Experience producing coordinated construction documents for permit and construction phases.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
