ACO, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Drafter I to join our Engineering & Design department in the construction industry. In this entry-level role, you'll support engineers by preparing civil drawings, including site, grading, and utility plans using AutoCAD and related tools. You'll translate redlines into accurate construction documents, maintain CAD standards, and assist with basic calculations and plan checks. Responsibilities Prepare detailed civil drawings under guidance of engineers and senior designers Update plans, profiles, and details for site, grading, and utility projects Interpret redlines, specifications, and markups into accurate CAD revisions Maintain CAD standards, file organization, and documentation accuracy Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to resolve design issues Assist with quantity takeoffs and basic design calculations as directed Ensure drawings comply with company, client, and regulatory requirements Support multiple projects while meeting quality, safety, and schedule goals Required Skills Auto CAD drafting Civil 3 D or similar software Reading civil/structural plans Grading and drainage design support Utility layout drafting Construction document preparation Basic surveying concepts CAD standards and layer management File management and version control Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)
