Job Title:
Architectural Designer Job Description We are seeking an Architectural Designer to support a growing portfolio of awarded projects across various sectors including institutional, federal, healthcare, education, industrial, and public-sector facilities. This role involves Revit-based architectural production, construction documentation, detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination. The focus is on project execution and production support rather than solely on conceptual design. The Architectural Designer will work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to develop drawing sets, incorporate markups, coordinate design changes, and support project delivery from design development through construction documentation. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit and comfortable coordinating directly with engineering disciplines to resolve project issues and maintain project schedules. Responsibilities Contribute directly to Revit-based architectural production and construction documentation. Develop drawing sets and incorporate markups. Coordinate design changes and support project delivery from design development through construction documentation. Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams. Resolve project issues and maintain project schedules. Contribute to drawing production and detailing. Incorporate redlines and maintain coordinated drawing sets. Essential Skills Advanced proficiency in Revit. Experience producing architectural construction documents. Strong CD-phase experience and ability to draw production and detailing. Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Approximately 5-7 years of architectural design experience. Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or related discipline preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in architectural or A/E consulting environments. Exposure to multiple concurrent project types and clients. Experience in interior architecture or interior design. Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience in federal, military, institutional, healthcare, laboratory, education, industrial, or public-sector projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience with Photoshop, rendering, or visualization. Field investigation, shop drawing review, or construction administration experience. Work Environment The work environment includes a collaborative architectural and engineering consulting setting. The position offers an onsite hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office, with office attendance required for meetings. There is a preference for local employees to spend more time onsite. The office is historically small, with approximately 14 people, and is described as laid-back while remaining accountable to deadlines. Flexible hours typically range from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.69/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
