Job Description

Job Title:
Civil Design Engineer We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for project designs and construction documents, leveraging your expertise in AutoCAD to work on grading, drainage, erosion control, and other civil-related tasks. You will coordinate with project team members and communicate effectively with clients, assisting senior engineers in developing both commercial and residential site plans. Responsibilities Develop project designs and construction documents using AutoCAD. Work on grading, drainage, erosion control, and other civil-related tasks. Coordinate with project team members and communicate with clients. Assist senior engineers in developing commercial and residential site plans. Conduct site visits and collaborate closely with project managers and contractors. Essential Skills Proficiency in civil engineering and civil design. Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience in site design, stormwater management, drainage, and grading. Familiarity with land and site development, drainage design, and residential/commercial site design. Knowledge of project management and permitting processes. At least 3 years of civil design experience. B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel. EIT certification preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Microstation and HydroCAD. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment, with in-office days from Tuesday to Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday. You will have the flexibility to choose your office location based on your residence, either in our Naperville or Chicago offices. Location This position based out of Naperville, Illinois. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
