Position Overview We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Team in New Albany, IN. This position will be responsible for the planning and design of transportation projects for municipal and county clients. Projects can include a variety of linear features along a corridor, such as traffic, pavement, signals and lighting, structures, storm systems, drainage, watermain transmission, and sanitary systems. This position will be based out of our New Albany, IN office with WFH flexibility and designated office days. Key Responsibilities Leads the planning and design of roadway and trail improvement projects throughout Indiana. Assists with developing proposals, including project approach, scope, schedule, and budget. Performs design calculations for roadway and trail alignments, geometrics, hydraulics and maintenance of traffic (MOT). Oversees and reviews quantity calculations and construction cost estimates. Coordinates project workflow, assigns tasks and provides guidance to engineers and technicians Implements quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure high-quality project deliverables and bid documents. Builds and maintains strong client relationships and partners with Client Relations and Marketing teams to identify and pursue new project opportunities.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana required and 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer focused on transportation projects. Knowledge of Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) standards, project development processes, permitting, and environmental requirements. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across multiple office locations and demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget while providing exceptional value to clients. Proficiency with one or more of the following software programs: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD). Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to client meetings and project sites as needed. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary range: $94,000- $118,000 + annual performance bonus.
