Job Description

Dekker is seeking Drafters to contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams and support the delivery of complex, Federal-sector architecture projects. The role allows the individual a chance to work on technical and sustainable projects. This position offers the opportunity to make firm-wide contributions to projects ranging from, Multifamily Housing, Commercial and/or Education (K-12 & Higher Ed) Responsibilities Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using design software, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details. Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings and specifications, adhering to relevant building codes and standards. Work closely with team members to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings. Collaboratively engages in project work with responsibilities as assigned. Provide consultation and team collaboration in the planning, design, and coordination of projects. Qualifications This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM area US Citizenship required. Associate's degree in drafting, architecture or related field. 2 + years of relevant experience Strong proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Knowledge of additional design software (e.g., SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous. Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
