Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Architectural AutoCAD Draftsperson to provide drafting support for architectural projects on a flexible, part-time basis. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in AutoCAD, can work independently with minimal supervision, and is exceptionally responsive to project deadlines and drawing revisions. This role is primarily remote; however, the selected candidate must be able to meet with the project architect in person in New York City, as needed, to review drawings and coordinate more complex tasks. The ideal candidate is a fast, accurate, detail-oriented AutoCAD draftsperson who can efficiently incorporate markups and revisions while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency across all project documents. Key responsibilities Prepare, revise, and maintain architectural drawings in AutoCAD. Incorporate markups and comments into drawings with a target turnaround time of XXX for routine revisions during agreed-upon working hours.

Draft and modify:

Floor plans Elevations Building sections Door schedules Window schedules Finish schedules Interpret and accurately follow handwritten markups, redlines, sketches, PDFs, and verbal instructions. Convert scanned sketches, PDFs, and existing documents into properly scaled CAD drawings. Create and maintain drawing blocks, layers, line weights, Xrefs, and other CAD standards. Ensure drawings comply with office drafting standards, project requirements, and quality-control procedures. Prepare drawings suitable for submission through NYC DOB NOW and related permitting processes. Track drawing revisions and maintain organized version control to ensure all requested changes are implemented accurately. Communicate proactively regarding questions, missing information, conflicts, or coordination issues.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
